I’d like to suggest to us all, that to be ready for God has something to do with waiting: awaiting.  But not lethargy.  Not waiting for Godot.  Not waiting without agency.  Not waiting, doing the same thing over and over again.  Not waiting thinking Christmas will take care of itself…

Jesus is coming: Look Busy!

But this year.

Jesus is coming: look forward.

Jesus is coming: look for more than this.

Jesus is coming… and the Gospel tells us: do something.  

Jesus is coming, so get ready.
